I trained and qualified as a surface pattern designer at BA Hons level in west yorkshire. Since then i have retrained in constructive textiles and have completed two city and guilds in the subject.
The techniques I use are varried from felt making,hand embroidery and free machine embroidery all with a recycled element where I am able. I find inspiration in many areas of life, usually using a sketch books and embroidered samples to grow my ideas into richly embellished,textural,wall hangings. I also produce a small product line of handmade gifts for retail.
