The Crafts Council Development Award is for makers who are about to set up their business, or who are within three years of doing so, and consists of:
• An equipment grant of up to £5,000, which must be matched by the recipient
• A maintenance grant of £2,500
• A residential course in business training aimed specifically at small creative practices
• The provision of 1,000 promotional postcards
• One-to-one support from a Crafts Council Professional Development Officer, which includes two studio visits
• Four years representation on photostore, the Crafts Council’s visual database
Eligibility
Applicants must:
• have completed their studies
• be within three years of setting up the venture
• must live and work in England
