Wirksworth Festival Operations Manager
Every September the historic market town of Wirksworth hosts a unique 3 week arts festival which attracts many visitors. The Festival, which is primarily run by volunteers, has recently become one of the Arts Council's Regularly Funded Organisations and is at an exciting time in its development. We are looking to appoint a new staff member to join the team.
Operations Manager £22K pro rata (26hrs/ wk, initially 9 month contract)
You will be at the heart of the Festival, the key point of contact for all enquiries, so will be essential to its successful development. You will underpin the practical running of the Festival including day to day running of the office, administration, events co-ordination, human resources, support to the board, staff and volunteers. You will be a self-starter with a can-do attitude, who is able to prioritise a varied workload. You will have at least 1 years experience of working in an office environment, have excellent IT skills, and be a fantastic organiser. In return we can assure you that work at the Festival will never be dull !
