Night Stations is a series of nocturnal installations instigated by Derbyshire based artist Charles Monkhouse. Its current development phase, funded by Arts Council England and the New Environmental Economy, is building the foundation for a full programme of Peak District light installations in 2010. Night Stations is seeking a freelance development manager to help carry the project forward.
The Role
The development manager will help secure a long term future for Night Stations by working with Charles Monkhouse and other members of the Night Stations team to:
help draw up a new business plan for Night Stations;
establish partnerships for the Night Stations programme;
identify public, business and corporate funding opportunities for Night Stations;
undertake other appropriate tasks that develop Night Stations.
The fee (inclusive expenses and VAT if charged) is £3000 equivalent to 15-20 days over three or four months.
Specification
Night Stations is looking for an individual or partnership with:
the experience of project development in the arts;
a commitment to developing arts in the rural landscape;
an understanding of public and private funding for the arts;
the ability to establish productive relationships with partners;
the ability to work independently and meet targets.
The successful applicant should have their own facilities and reasonable access to the Peak District. The work will be paid on a fee basis on receipt of a monthly invoice and the post holder will be responsible for their own tax and national insurance.
