16.06.09 Conference Derbyshire Sales Manager, Derby - Visit Peak District
The role is to increase the number of conference, meetings and exhibitions held in Derbyshire. With new hotels being built and opening in the City and Derbyshire, this is an excellent opportunity to attract organisations to hold their events here in this outstanding part of the country.
You will work closely with conference buyers, local hotels, conference venues and local companies who require venues to host events. In addition you will host familiarisation trips, and oversee a marketing action plan which will include; co-ordinating PR activities, developing the website, producing a conference guide and attending exhibitions.
We are looking for a passionate person with creative flair, the ability to work in a small (but highly dedicated) team, and experience of selling in a competitive sector.
Ideally you will have hotel/venue experience with a sales background of at least 3 years.
