02.10.09 Performing Arts Teacher, Uttoxeter, Staffordshire - Theatre Cats Stage School
Theatre Cats is a stage school which opened in the Burton area in Staffordshire in January 2008, we have expanded and now have 14 classes over 4 locations in Derbyshire and Staffordshire. We are looking for a dedicated and creative teacher who wants to lead classes in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire every Friday evening during term time.
You must pass a CRB check and have a passion for working with children. Our aim is to build confidence and self-esteem within children. We currently offer classes to children aged 5-16, however, our aim is to introduce classes for 2-5 year olds as well. Theatre Cats is continuing to expand so more work will most likely become available. You must be comfortable in teaching drama, movement and musical theatre. The children take examinations in Trinity Guildhall and so they will also need to be coached in this. Help and coaching will be provided for you along the way if needed.
Experience of working with children is a huge bonus. Candidates will be invited to teach a 15 minute class prepared by the candidate which will then be followed by an interview.
Payment details: £10-£12 per hour dependent on age and experience. Freelance.
Start date: Friday 6th November (sooner if available)
