05.06.12 Festival Curator, Wirksworth - Wirksworth Festival
Wirksworth Festival is now firmly established as a leading rural art festival, attracting artists and visitors from throughout the country to explore the fascinating Derbyshire market town.
The Festival Curator will curate and co-ordinate delivery of the Festival’s contemporary visual arts programme, working with the Board, Visual Arts Panel and Festival Manager to develop a cohesive approach, working with staff and volunteers to ensure successful delivery. The Curator will have responsibility for research and development of the Festival Pavilion programme (working title), our key development strand for 2013-15.
The successful applicant will have at least 3 years paid curatorial experience, managing a wide range of visual arts projects to a high standard. They will be an excellent communicator, have a proven commitment to collaborative working and ability to fundraise for projects. In return we’ll offer a wonderful place to work, with a wide and varied range of experience.
